Baby Shower Card

Sorry to post a card with retired paper but I made these baby shower invitations for a friend's shower and had nearly a whole package left so I used it (see how green I am?). I was going to do a different design but I looked at the stamp with 3 birds one day and it struck me that this would be the perfect stamp for this particular baby shower. My friend has 3 boys between the ages of 9 and 15 so it was quite a surprise when she found out she was expecting a baby. The new baby is going to be another boy! She is pretty excited about it now that she has gotten used to the idea. The boys are pretty excited about it too but they have been teasing their mom a lot. I thought the birds looked like they were discussing something, it could be a new baby, couldn't it?


I stamped the 3 birds on the front and typed in the question, "Do you think Mom is forgetting someone?" and punched it with the oval punch. I mounted that on the new Decorative Label punch. Then on the inside of the card I stamped a mommy bird and 4 baby birds. The shower information will be under that. After stamping the 3 birds in Pacific Point I cleaned the stamp real well and used the Pacific Point marker to color in one bird and stamped it at the back of the 3. Using the marker made it easy to just color the 1 bird without getting ink on the other images. It took a while to make 40 of these but I like how they turned out.
