Build A Blossom

There is an amazing stamp set with a coordinating punch in the new Occasions Mini Catalog that I am having a great time creating with.  They make it so quick and easy to add a beautiful flower to your projects!  I made several cards and a scrapbook layout and a cute tissue cover with it this week.  The stamp set is called Build a Blossom and has 12 stamps in it for what seems to be unlimited potential for flower designs.  The punch is called Blossom Petals XL Punch and it punches 4 shapes, 2 different flower petals and 2 sizes of leaves.  The Occasions Mini Catalog starts Jan 4, Tuesday so be sure to get your Build a Blossom soon. Better yet, hold an in-home workshop and earn the set for free!

The first card shows 2 different kinds of petals layered.  The larger petal in the back was stamped in Baja Breeze onto Very Vanilla and punched out with the punch.  I curled the petals back slightly with my bone folder and added a Stampin' Dimensional to the center back of each one.  Another bit of snail adhesive at the inside of the petals helped me adhere them so they matched up nicely.  After arranging and sticking them down I peeled off the backing of the dimensionals and attached the petals firmly to the card.  I added a double layer of the long narrow flower petals and a couple of leaves.  Both of these use the same part of the punch.  After adding a Vintage Brad in the center and stamping a birthday wish from the Occasional Quotes set the card is finished.  I bet some of you noticed the new embossing folder I used for the background.  Isn't it great!  It is called Framed Tulips and is also available in the new mini catalog.

Second is a card that just has the long narrow petals.  I stamped the petals on Rose Red Cardstock with the Versa Mark ink pad.  I like the way it has a tone-on-tone look and matches perfectly.  I also used a Vintage Brad and a sentiment from the Occasional Quotes set and an embossing folder on this card.  These were both incredibly quick and easy cards.  I love it when we get tools we can use to make creating fabulous cards quickly!

I hope you have enjoyed these cards.  I'll post more creations with this stamp set and punch Monday.  Have a great rest of the holiday weekend as well as a wonderful new year!  I stayed up way too late last night so I reckon I need to get to bed earlier tonight.  I've got a lot of zzzz's to catch up on!
