Easter Layout

First of all, don't forget to register for my blog candy, check out Monday's post to get the details!

Here is the layout we did in our scrapbook club for April.  I love the punch art!  I also used the Presto Patterns Paper.  Isn't it cool how you can sponge whatever color ink that will match your layout?  I used pastels to convey the Easter feeling of Spring flowers.  If you look closely you can see the patterns embossed on the paper.  There are so many cool looks you can get with the Presto Patterns paper.  I hope there will be more in the new catalog when it comes out in July!

We used the Lovely Letters stamp set for the title and the grass stamp from the Inspired By Nature set for the bottom border.   I punched and matted the "Hoppy" part of the title and just stamped the "Easter" part together.  I used lots of punches on this page, here are close-ups of the punch art duck and rabbit.

I love this little punch art duck I found.  I have seen several that are similar but the one I saved didn't have who created it.  I suspect she wouldn't have been the original creator, just as I am not.  It looks a little like the punch art that Kim Score creates but I couldn't find it on her site.  If anyone knows the original creator, let me know so I can give proper credit.  This little duck just makes me smile  :~)
I've seen lots of these carrots made from the Petal Cone die.  I did my own twist to it as well as the bunny.  He is a composit of 3 or 4 punch art bunnies I have come across.  When I first saw the petal cone die I thought it was one I wouldn't need.  Then the super talented Stampin' Up demonstrators started making things besides the cone with it and I'm convinced that it needs to find it's way to my house too!  If you notice the banner with the year on it at the top of the page, just to the right of the Easter title, that is also part of the Petal Cone die.  I added a bit of the Hodgepodge Hardware over it to highlight the year.
