50,000 hits! That deserves some blog candy!

I've been watching my  blog hit counter get closer and closer to 50,000 hits but got busy toward the end of last week with creating projects for the display as well as a power point Inservice program I had to prepare for the Seminary teachers I supervise so I wasn't paying as much attention to  my blog.  While I wasn't looking it went over 50,000!  I think it happened Friday while I was stressing over the power point.

To celebrate I'm offering a Wide Oval Punch and the Happy Moments stamp set as blog candy.  Both are unused and fun to create with.  Thanks to everyone for visiting my blog often.  I have 4 ways for you to enter for the blog candy.  1.) Each person who leaves a comment on this blog post telling me which project I've posted they like the most will get an entry in the drawing.  Be sure to leave contact information with your comment!  2.) If you aren't already a follower of my blog and sign up to be a follower you will get another entry.  3.) Each person who places an order with me, either from my website or from me personally will get their name in a drawing once for every $5 spent.  And, 4.) Book a workshop with me during the month of May and you will get 10 entries in the drawing!  Good Luck everyone!
For my cards tonight I want to share 2 cards I made with the inlaid embossing technique.  The first one is one I made for my display, it uses the leafy vine part of the 2-step bird punch and one of the flowers from the Boho Blossoms punch.  I adhered them all over the Whisper White cardstock card front and then embossed the whole thing with the Square Lattice embossing folder.  I really like the look with those punches!  I added a Pretty in Pink and Certainly Celery layer and then stamped an image from the Strength and Hope stamp set on a small square that I created with the Framed Tulip embossing folder.  It took 4 times running it through but I really like having the option of creating different sizes.
The second card is one we made at the retreat Saturday.  Can you figure out where the flowers came from?  There are 2 new punches in the Summer Mini Catalog called Triple Layer Punches.  These flowers were all punched with the Blossom Bouquet Triple Layer Punch as well as the 1/2" circle punch for the centers of the larger flowers.  The Triple Layer Punch is like 3 punches in one!  The other punch is called the Doily Triple Layer Punch so you can imagine that it is beautiful too.  The Summer Mini Catalog will begin on May 1st so get ready to see some more new product!

Remember to post a comment, follow me, place an order or book a workshop to get entries in the drawing for blog candy!

Elaine, congratulations on 50,000 hits........that's fantastic! I really enjoy visiting your blog but I think the post I enjoyed recently was the "Lovey as A Tree" recreate. The first card was nice but the second card had lots of life to it and the bow brought out the colors. Thanks for sharing the tip about the bat punch.... it's now on my wish list...great idea!

It's too hard to choose just one fav from all your previous cards, but my favorite one of this post is the first one. So simple, springy, and really catches the eye. Thanks for all your sharing, and congrats on your milestone blog-hits!

Love this technique! I never thought about embossing after I placed embellishments. You learn something new every day. Thanks Elaine. Cindy Silberblatt
