Welcome to the July 2024 Scrapbooking Global Blog Hop!
Our theme of Combo Layout With A Pocket Page was chosen be Kate Gardiner.
There are so many reasons to include a pocket on your page and so many ways to add a pocket. I added a 3-tier pocket to this page because I took over 40 pictures at this interesting place. I have 5 photos in each pocket so with the 7 photos on the page I have almost half of the photos here. I'll do another layout with more pockets for the remaining photos.
The layout really didn't photograph well. There are so many little buildings in so many pictures! I pulled out that beautiful Peach Pie DSP from the Unbounded Beauty paper pack for this one. I also used the dies from the Unbounded Love die set. With so many photos I didn't need much embellishments, just a few Blooming Pearls on each page.
Here is the pocket I designed for my 3-tier pocket. It measures 13 1/2x 8 1/2 so obviously you will need to piece one of the panels in to make it wide enough. I made the pockets 4 1/2" wide so the 4" wide photos would fit in them. There isn't a lot of wiggle room so you will need to use a very thin line of glue to hold the edges. Or make each panel a bit more than 4 1/2" wide.
Here are 2 pictures of just the pocket. One is without anything in the pockets so you can better tell how it is made.
I hope you will find plenty of inspiration on the blog hop this month and will be adding pockets to your pages to hold all kinds of things soon!
Now you can go to the beginning of the hop list and visit Julia Quinn's blog by clicking on her link below. She has an amazing style and I know you will love what she has created! She has a completely different way to add lots of photos with a very different kind of pockets.

Oh rats! I tried several different ways and I can't get Julia's blog link to be clickable. Until I get someone to straighten me out just cut and paste the link into your browser. Me and technology sometimes don't get along!

Such a pretty double Layout Elaine! And I love your take on the theme. I’m definitely trying that zig zag pocket soon. Great colours too. Thanks for joining in this month.
WOW - cutting the title out of a photo is BRILLIANT!! What a fantastic way to create coordination. I love your pocket idea - this is just fabulous too. Such a great way to accommodate LOTS of photos (that's always what I want to do too!!! ) love it all.
THAT folded pocket is AWESOME, such a great way to add some more photos. AND your TITLE that was ingenious <3
Thanks for hopping again this month... Cheers Shaz
What a great layout to accommodate all of your photos. I love the idea of using a photo to die cut your title. The 3 tiered pocket is a great idea and one I will take away and try.
I love the idea of the zig zag pocket! I'm definitely going to have to give that a try. TFS
Love the zig zag pockets and the choice of colours. Going to try this on one of my layouts.
What a great idea to create your own pocket! And how you created it was amazing. I would have never thought of creating that!
